Autumn Equinox Gathering (by invitation only)

I’m so excited to welcome you to This Mortal Life’s very first gathering! And what better way to begin than with the Autumn Equinox, a time of balance, gratitude, and gentle transition as summer fades and we step towards the darker half of the year.

The Equinox is a moment to pause and celebrate: to reflect on what we’ve learned and achieved, to acknowledge the changes taking root within us, and to honour both the light and the shadow that shape our journeys. As one of the harvest festivals, it’s also a season for gathering in community, sharing abundance, and giving thanks.

Our afternoon together will begin with a beach-and-woodland wander (rain or shine!) where we’ll collect natural treasures for a creative meditation and ritual exploring themes of duality and resilience. Afterwards, we’ll come together for a bring-and-share vegetarian meal, hopefully around a glowing fire on the beach (weather permitting!) just in time to enjoy the rhythm of the high tide and the beauty of the Equinox sunset.

This first gathering is about grounding, connection, and celebration. Come as you are, bring something to share, and join us as we mark the turning of the seasons together.
