About the Gathering

The Autumn Equinox is the moment in the year when day and night stand in perfect balance. After this point, the light begins to recede and we move gently toward the darker half of the year. A time for pausing and noticing what has grown, what has ripened and what we are now ready to lay down.

In nature, nothing clings to its fullness. Leaves fall, seeds drop and the tide takes what is no longer needed and returns it to the wider cycle.

Together on the beach, we will walk, reflect, and create a simple act of release. We’ll gather natural objects that speak to what we are ready to let go of, and transform them into a shared piece of temporary art; a reminder that release can be communal, gentle and even beautiful.

As the evening draws in, we’ll gather around the fire for food, warmth and conversation, marking the turning of the year in community.

What to Expect

  • Simple opening welcome ritual to set the tone and theme

  • Seasonal reflections

  • Informal community connection

  • Shared vegetarian/vegan meal

  • A fire, if the weather permits

  • Poetry, stories or readings shared voluntarily

You are welcome to participate as much or as little as feels right.

Who It’s For

This is an open, kind and inclusive space for open, kind and inclusive people. We organise our gatherings based on those who come and participate in them. The aim is for these gatherings to be collaborative. If you find there are barriers to participating, please reach out for a chat about how we might remove those barriers.
