Welcoming the Light: Gathering at the Spring Equinox
The Spring Equinox marks the moment in the year when day and night are held in near balance. In the Northern Hemisphere, it signals the beginning of astronomical spring and the gradual return of longer, lighter days.
After the quieter months of winter, this seasonal turning point offers a natural opportunity to pause and notice the shift taking place around us. Buds have begun to appear, evenings stretch a little further and there is often a renewed sense of energy and possibility in the air. This time of year asks us to consider not just what is beginning to emerge in nature, but also what might be beginning to emerge in us?
To mark the arrival of spring, you are warmly invited to our Spring Equinox Gathering and join us in Sand Bay (Kewstoke) to share food, conversation, and what will hopefully be a lovely sunset together. If the weather allows, we will light a fire and attendees are invited to bring a poem, reading or short story to share on the theme of light or beginnings. Sharing is always optional. Listening and being present is just as welcome.
If you would like to join us for this or future seasonal gatherings, simply join our mailing list. Full details of upcoming events are shared once a month directly to your inbox. Our gatherings are free to attend and open to anyone in the North Somerset/Bristol area. If you’ve never been to a This Mortal Life gathering before, you may find it useful to read more on what we’re all about. You can also find the TML FAQ here.
Instagram DMs are always open, or pop me an email at thismortallife.uk@gmail.com with any questions and to RSVP. We hope to see you soon!
