Imbolc Gathering

Imbolc is an ancient seasonal festival that marks the quiet turning point between winter and spring. Traditionally associated with the earliest stirrings of life beneath the soil, it is a time of subtle change rather than dramatic transformation. The days are lengthening, the light is slowly returning, and although the landscape may still appear dormant, something is beginning to shift. Imbolc invites us to notice these small signs of renewal and to honour beginnings that are still fragile and unfinished.

Rather than a festival of full bloom or bold action, Imbolc is about tending the hearth, the land and ourselves. It’s a moment to pause and listen for what is quietly emerging, to offer care and attention to intentions that are not yet ready to be named out loud. In a world that often urges speed and certainty, Imbolc reminds us that growth unfolds in its own time.

We’ll be marking Imbolc together with a gentle forest walk, offering space to connect with the land and the seasonal shifts happening around us. Afterward, we’ll gather for a relaxed bring-and-share dinner, creating warmth and nourishment through shared food and conversation. This will be a simple, grounded gathering; an opportunity to slow down, connect, and honour this tender threshold between seasons, together.
