Winter Solstice Gathering

The shortest day of the year brings a moment to pause and reflect on what’s now behind us, what was nourishing to us, what has taken root and what we may wish to shed as we begin to plan for the year ahead.

Our natural instincts are to hibernate through winter, which can provide the restoration we need before Spring, but before we start towards that decent, let’s come together to share a seasonal meal, followed by a ‘Wheel of Life’ workshop where attendees will have the opportunity to map out experiences they may want to have in the year ahead and connect to their inner motivations and inspirations through creative exercises.

Attendees are also asked to bring a gift for our ‘seasonal gift exchange’ - this is a gift exchange that helps us to disconnect from society’s capitalistic nature and re-direct our generosity towards the sustainable, nature-based and handmade offerings that nurture our souls. From tree/plant cuttings to homemade treats, handmade items to heart-felt poetry, your gift will be an authentic offering of yourself and gratefully received in community. 

Let us give and receive with the aim of creating no waste, remembering the mantra of repairing, reusing, recycling and re-imagining to ensure that what is old or unused can bloom again for someone new.

Attendees will leave feeling nourished, connected and excited for the year ahead.
